CC to UCLA transition?

I am going to be starting at UCLA this fall after finishing Santa Monica College.
I had a 3.95 there, but I'm worried about how well I'm going to do.

I believe that I'm willing to work as hard as needed there, but I'm not sure if I've got what it takes. Are there any tips or success stories (etc.)?

I'd really appreciate it because I'm bleeding sweat. I need to have a great GPA to get into a good law school...

Thanks.

I was wondering about this as well... any feedback?

me too, i had a 3.95 @ ecc.

stop stressing, step A get off this website

step B do what you like

step C excel in it, just focus, but without the stress and "bloody sweat"

Dan, if you work as hard as you worked at your college then I am sure you'll do great.

^ I second above...

If you are intelligent / focused enough to succeed at SMC, you'll be more than fine at UCLA. Good luck.

cardinal i thought you weren't going to post anymore?? lol. there was an article a while ago saying that the overwhelming majority of students articulating from California Community Colleges to UC schools did as well as they did in their CCC's. I'll search around to see if I can find the article.

Yeah, I got sucked back into this so technically I'm renegging on my word to stop posting. I hope this does not affect my credibility :( In any case, I just want to help as many transfers as possible...

We are a demographic all our own though. We are CCers. Probably, the upper tier in most cases

Here's a report done on CC transition to UCLA:

<a href="http://www.sairo.ucla.edu/transferstudents/transitionstudyfall2005.htm%5B/url%5D">http://www.sairo.ucla.edu/transferstudents/transitionstudyfall2005.htm</a></p>

It's a pretty neat read.

^^Yikes, some of those findings are a bit intimidating
