CC to UCSD; Econ major

I go to a CC and my GPA is in the neighborhood of 3.4/3.5/3.6 and I was wondering if this is good enough GPA to be admitted to UCSD as an Economics major.

I'm a member of the Honor Society and currently work as a tutor.

Answer: YES.

FYI: You'll be competing me for the admission at UCSD Econ major. Congrats.

you will be competitive, i would imagine the average transfer into ucsd is around a 3.4 and for econ maybe a bit higher, maybe 3.5.

Counselor said that the average transfer GPA to UCSD is around 3.42

You keep dropping your standards every day don't you? Just go to Berkeley. You'll get accepted dude. :)

honors society, and tutoring is a booster. look into phi theta kappa, another national honors society. make sure your ecs are stuffed with info, and your essay stuffed with compulsion. make the essay solid, and your a shoe in.

To the OP: Yeah, you'll mostl likely get in...

Best, :)

Assuming you have the necessary 60 credits and your course curriculm has been good (Have all the standard Math, Science, etc.) you should be fine.If you get denied it will not be because of GPA. Good luck.
