CC Transfer to Georgetown

<p>Hey,</p>

<p>Just graduated HS and going to a local community college, hoping to transfer to GU: SFS and a lot of my GU friends are saying to apply after 1 year, but I feel like that would be a waste since it would only reflect 1 Semester of college due to app. deadlines...</p>

<p>Thoughts?</p>

<p>Stats:
HS GPA: uw 2.9
SAT: 2010
EC's: A lot of Student Council (Scheduler/Activities Chair/Vice President)/Volunteer Work</p>

<p>I am currently an intern for a membe of Congress in Washington, DC and hope to use them as a letter of recomendation. I went to HS in California but moved to DC on my own to go to CC for this internship...</p>

<p>Basically, I'm looking or any info into how I can get to GU. I didn't apply to any schools out of HS because I wanted to work hard in CC and get there, so just basically thoughts on whether applying after 1 semester is a waste, tips in general, etc.</p>

<p>You’ve got it right, your friends need to do their homework on transferring.</p>

<p>OK for a supplemental LOR, but you will need 2 primary ones from college instructors.</p>
