I have recently visited Georgetown University's campus- which I found to be absolutely amazing! I currently am enrolled in a community college right outside of Syracuse. My GPA is a 4.0, and my high school average was a 92.24 and I was in honors classes as well as AP courses. I have multiple volunteering jobs I have done as well as a part time job, which my professor mentioned in her letter of recommendation. I would be transferring in as a second semester sophmore due to withdrawing my first semester from a previous institution. Just wondering my chances of getting into this school. My SATs and ACTs I will admit, are definitely not up to par with the recommended scores, however, I have heard the SATs and ACTs are not so much looked at when transferring. Thanks for everyone's input.

You might need incoming junior status as a transfer for ACT/SAT not to count much.

Will your parents pay for Georgetown? Most schools don’t give great aid to transfer students.

^Gtown meets full need

I agree with Buegie. The financial aid at GU does not differ between transfer students and regular incoming freshman. However, regardless, my parents will be paying for the difference between what they offer and we need to pay. Cost is not much of an issue. Thanks for your guys’ input though! I appreciate it.
