"This major is offered by the College of Letters and Science (L&S). You must
complete either: (1) the L&S Requirements in Reading & Composition, Foreign
Language, and Quantitative Reasoning or (2) IGETC by the end of the spring term that precedes fall enrollment at Berkeley."

This was from assist.org, does it mean that if i just follow the igetc, i'll be all good (i know it's a stupid question but i'm a lil paranoid). Because the general ed requirements for berk college of letters and science says that you need classes such as english 1b and 1c...foreign language up to level 3..etc.

Do they have a preference as to which one you complete or ?

so igetc works? i don't need to take no more spanish classes or anything. the breadth and the igetc sorta contradict in terms of the language part..if i had to follow the breadth..i'd be kinda scrwd since i forgot most of my foreign langauge.

did you take foreign language in HS? igetc requires the equivalent of 2+ years of High School foreign language w/ grades C or better in all semesters/quarters.

yup two years of HS Spanish! gave my transcript to the registrar...but i'm worried cuz the breadth says you need 3 years. does this mean i need to take a language at the college or waht?
