CCC to UC Berkeley COLS (I didn't apply for this year)

Major: Philosophy

California Community College
GPA at current institution: 3.75
GPA cumulative:3.4 (because of ccc grades received while I was in HS)
2 years have lapsed since I graduated High School.

EC: Vice President of Student Government (Presently a Senator)
President of Philosophy Club
Phi Theta Kappa Regional Officer
Phi Theta Kappa Chapter President
Senator for California Student Senate (prospective)

Community Service:
500 hours +:
beach clean ups, church, tutoring, civic affairs

IGETC finished by time of application
Major Prep (none are transferable)

But, I contacted the appropriate professors at Berkeley and obtained their syllabus' in order to read it and study the material ahead of time. Also, since I'll be done with IGETC by Fall of 07', I'm going to do direct studies under a professor till the end of spring 08'.

Essay shall reflect all of this.

anybody have any ideas?

pull that comulative GPA and you should be fine =)

in my own opinion:
"President of Philosophy Club
Phi Theta Kappa Regional Officer
Phi Theta Kappa Chapter President"
dont bank on these for anything, i think everyone, including addmissions officers know these are bull***t.

Get more innovative EC's.

my bad...I mean pull that GPA (UP)...typo error. sorry about that

What about if I applied with this. (Luvtoolearn)

and Boscoboy, research under a professor not innovative enough? I hope these positions are what you claim them to be, since I did devote a great deal of time to it.

The comulative is a tad too low, but you never know...is your major impacted?

Actually it's not and it's the second smallest major on campus.
