your in ... by the way cal does not have any pre-req for philo majors lol!

Yep you're a pretty definitive yes.

thanks, what are prereqs exactly --- it that list of classes on assist.org which most often say "no course articulated"

And are ECs that important given the 4.00?

Your EC is enough to get you into Cal.

lol no prereqs.. .

The thing is is that I dont have all those Ecs yet, I only have 12hrs of job shadow and 40 community service hours. They are projections that I plan to fulfill.
In reality I presently have 12 hrs job shadow and 40 volunteer hours --- from highschool. Does this matter. THanks btw

from high school?
Is this your first year at Fullerton College?
If this is your second years, adcoms would want to see what you did during college, not your HS.

I am planning on getting 100+ hours at CC alone during this semester before applications are turned in (i am presently in volunteer service). And I have already arranged an additional job shadow. Is it ok if I am doing it late in my CC
career. Does that look bad?

Thanks

Does it look bad that i am doing my Ecs late?

you don't need any ECs for berkeley

^ Who's misinformed????

^You don't really need them as a transfer student...they think you have a life by then and don't need to fill it with petty, do-good community service deeds.

I know of someone who was accepted at UCB with only a 4.0, without a single EC, so I guess it's possible.

You are. My friend had no ECs and got in, same with me.

well it is not that i have no ECs I am just doing them late...ill still have 100+ hours and a second job shadow

hey freud i go to FJC too w00t w00t

if your'e so informed, why'd you choose ucla over cal?

OOOHHHHHHHHHHH

sry :)

i chose ucla because its proximity and im not paying as much as i would be for cal. OHHHHHHHH

sry :)

It still serves as mystery as to why mojo chose UCLA over Cal and Cornell. IMO, he's just using the proximity and money as an excuse to cover up for his inability to judge and choose properly. That's the only thing that would make sense. Not long time ago he said that he now wants to move somewhere far away from his home because he wants to feel independent. If he is able to change his mind so quickly within a matter of month, I'm sure the proximity wasn't much of a deciding factor for him.
