I am in the third quarter of CCC, and I am planning on applying to UCB and UCLA. To be safe, I was planning on applying to UCSD and UC Davis with TAG in the beginning of September , but is it true that UCB and UCLA favor students who do not use TAG for applying to schools? Because the UC system is tied together, UCB and UCLA will know if a student used TAG or not. I am really worried… Should I use TAG or should I just do the regular application??

Where did you read that makes you think that having a TAG with one of the other 6 campuses will affect UCB/UCLA’s decision?
Pretty sure it doesn’t affect them accepting/denying you at all.
99.9% sure UCLA and UCB won’t know anything about whether or not you TAG to other schools and I can’t imagine that being used as a viable admissions criterion. For the record, UCSD doesn’t accept TAG.

There seems to be no reason for TAG to be any different[/ul]
What is your Major and GPA? Even with a high GPA you should apply to other schools and use TAG. I doubt other UCs care if you’re using TAG or not, it shouldn’t affect your admission chances…
Also I’m assuming you meant applying to UCSD through regular admission and Davis with TAG, which you should definitely do if you can.
