Taking ACTs 4 times
Joining every club in the school
Padding awards section with useless awards
Making up clubs and leadership positions on resume
etc.

does this look familiar?
HELP HELP HELP!!!!111oneone DOES THIS HURT MY CHANCES AT TOP SCHOOLS?!?!!??!?!oneoneone

Yes, CCers are certifiably crazy. However, I don't appreciate your "making up clubs and leadership positions" comment, because most of us who say we're President or Vice President or Captain of a lot of things really ARE President/Vice President/Captain of three or four or five clubs/teams. Like you said, we're insane in the membrane. :)

Yeah, most people who don't do otherwise don't come on here.
I'm a sophomore and I'm taking my first SAT or ACT 2nd semester.
I have to agree though making up club positions is scummy, I harshly look down on that. Many of us KILL ourselves and for someone to make something up to look good when they sat at home makes me angry.

i agree with karajanhra and ChaiMex. also, i resent the "padding awards section with useless awards" topic. most of us are smart enough to know that colleges see through those anyway.

I may be the exception around here, as I stumbled across here on accident and post here for the lulz. I'm nonchalant about grades and academics and all that (if you'd see my daily schedule on the other thread it should be fairly obvious; all I do is watch movies, play games, use the computer, hang out with friends, work out...etc).

That's why I post on the HSL forums 99% of the time, I guess. I'm simply one of those that don't care much about grades and the like.

Stumbling upon this website definitely was a fairly lucky mistake on my part, though. Now I actually know some basic facts about colleges. I'm actually thinking of going to a college...I didn't think I would before (I wasn't going to).
