I'm 15 and I certainly don't look 15. Teachers in school ask me what is it that I teach and are quite amazed when I say I'm a sophomore.

I just got to ride the train for free because I probably looked 12 and on the weekends, people 12 or under ride free when accompanied by adults (I was by myself, but the conductor probably thought I was with the people around me).

This impression is in stark contrast to my first day of college when a student came up to me presuming I was the professor:) high five, mr_chipset

The summer before 9th grade I was asked what college I attended. I think the person who asked me was a bit embarrassed when I told her that I hadn't even started high school yet. In 9th grade lots of people thought I was a senior--partly because I looked it, partly because I was taking lots of upper-level classes. Now I don't know whether I look older or younger (well, I'm certain I don't look younger) than my 18 years.

I have been told recently that I don't look American, though. Apparently I have a European, rather than American, look about me. (Whatever an American is supposed to look like...)

im 17. i look 17/18 sometimes, but i have passed for 21 before. it really just depends on who im with, what im wearing, etc.

in general, however, people just assume im older. im not sure why but ever since starting high school, people have assumed im much older than i am.

last summer I was pulling my mom's car around a barn at the county fair, and some old guy said something about just learning to drive. I told him I'd had my license for over two years, and he was like, "Oh, you look just old enough to have gotten your permit." Suuure...guess that means I look younger, but waiters also tried to serve me when I was a freshman in high school, so go figure :p

Hee Hee!!!

im 18 and weigh 200lb. and am 5'10, yet people still think im a freshman. I'm not small or anything but people seem to think im a freshman. Only asian people get my age right!(probably cuz im asian too.)

God no, with my height and body (kind of buff-been working out a lot lately) and my facial hair + actual hair that's graying I look like I'm 20 atleast (I'm 14). Plus I'm getting glasses so easily 25-30.

Oh Actual Story.

We went to the state capital a few months ago and the Governor's aide comes and asks me if MY students are having fun.

Hee Hee!!!

A conversation that happened on a Chinese airplane when I was twelve:

"What would you like to drink?"
"Do you have root beer?"
"No, but we have regular beer..."

I haven't really grown since then, but maybe my face looks older.

Up until last year (10th grade), I was still given the kids' menu at restaurants. Oh, the shame =)

I must look 45 because guys that age are constantly hitting on me...

Lol, I know this thread has died long ago, but I have an anecdote to share.

So, I was a deputy president, and this 15 year old kid approaches me and asks me:
"Sir, where do you want to work?" (Thinkin: ok, he sure is respectful)
"Political sciences is what I am going to pursue" (i say)
"Ah, great. And are you currently majoring in political sciences? (errr...) Cause I think it is admirable how you study as well as contribute to MUNs (errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......) or are you doing your PhD?" (WHAT??)

P.S. I was 16 when I got that.

I look about my age :p

No I don't. How old do you think I look?

people at my work thought i was in my twenties all last summer until september came when i cut my availability. when people asked me why i said "high school" and they were shocked. i think i look a lot older than my seventeen years.

I think I look about my age (18), if not a bit younger/older depending on what I'm wearing and the situation at hand (jeans+tank top vs. office clothes). For a long time everyone thought I was really young, but I think that has a lot to do with the fact that I had braces up until two days ago. I had braces in grades 6-7, and then again for two and a half years in high school and one year of university. I hated it at the time, but I eventually just ignored it. Straight, braces-free teeth definetly make me look more mature, if nothing else.

I'm 17, and I basically look my age. Sometimes people will think I'm 18 or 19, but they never think I'm younger. I like looking my age.

However, I've looked 17 since I was about 12 years old (I was already 5'9 by then). I think I'm a perpetual high schooler.

I'm 16 but most people think that I'm 18. If I were ever to go to a bar, this would have come in handy.
