My daughter was in Chicago, auditioning for CCM today too! Were you in the 1:00 dance audition group? She actually felt she did well which is a relief, given that she was very sick for two important auditions a week ago. However, her ears are still clogged so maybe she just thought she did well :)

Good luck to you. It looks like everyone should hear in a few weeks. Fingers-crossed.

Takehomeazak06....I'm sorry that you did not feel your audition was your best but the GOOD news is that you came away thinking of things you would change if you could and so if you have more auditions to come this winter, use these thoughts and make some changes....that is sort of what auditioning is about. After my D's first college audition last year, she also realized some changes she wanted to make in one of her song selections and did so for future auditions. She did not get into that first BFA program but got into the majority of the ones after that and in fact, she felt that toward the second half of her college auditions, that she kept getting better at them and in many ways, her college results kind of correlated with that trend that she "felt" in her own audition self assessment. So, USE what you felt and make whatever changes and it will help on the next audition. self reflection is a great tool in this field. That is kind of what auditioning is about. It is a skill in itself and every time you audition, you grow as an auditionee....so this was a very good experience and now you know what you want to do to enhance the next audition. It's all good.

And just remember, there is more than one school out there where you could be happy and so, keep an open mind. I wish you much luck on the future auditions, and same with your D, Jordansmom!
