Michelle Slatalla's Online Shopper column in the New York Times mentions CC's College Visits as one place to check out colleges:

Another well-known source of information is Collegeconfidential.com, where students and parents compare notes about colleges. Less well known is one of the site's new sections called "campus visits" with hundreds of reports (filed anonymously) that describe everything from atmosphere in the dining hall ("the staff in the cafeteria were very unfriendly," wrote TheVeganActress of Knox College) to the small details ("little or no air conditioning. Dirty bathrooms," drummerdude_07 wrote of Dartmouth).

I was actually interviewed by the New York Times two years ago based on something I'd posted on CC. I said some rather silly and uninformed things about the new SAT (that the writing section was a good idea, among other things)... it was completely harmless, especially considering I was a sophomore at the time, but I'm still glad that was before I changed my name (they used my real name and high school).
