I sent in my application to the College of Creative Studies in January. I neither received any indication that they received my application, nor about when admissions results would be released. Their websites says that we would be notified "immediately" after UCSB gave out decisions, but I haven't heard anything yet.

UCSB is my only option aside for community college, but I don't intend to go unless I've been accepted to CCS. Has anyone heard from them?

Actually your decision might be released from before your general admissions letter all to way to early summer. It’s a different process than the general admissions. So be patient. You can also contact the CCS office for updates.

I know they admit current UCSB students differently, but shouldn’t they notify high school seniors by May 1? That’s the deadline to make a deposit, and whether or not I’m going depends entirely on CCS.

I guess I’ll wait until mid-April, and if I still don’t hear anything, I’ll contact them.

Thanks, Ryan. :)

I’m not talking about current UCSB students. CCS admissions are entirely made by the CCS faculty instead of the UCSB admissions office. Some freshman applicants do get there CCS decisions letters as late as in early summer. Worst scenario is that if you don’t get in CCS. You can still accept offer and contact the your program advisor, take CCS classes, and transfer into CCS after freshman fall quarter.
