I feel like I'll be more excited on civil part of engineering, but I'm afraid about long time wise that I might get laid off. For electrical, the only reason why I might pick that is the job stability will be there and I guess I'll make some cool gadget like sensor and communication. For civil engineering, I could see myself be excited about the projects but then again, its always depend on the economy. What's are the pros and cons of civil and electrical engineering? Any advice would be great. I'm a transfer student and i'm not completely sure about it.

Huge problem. If you don’t like what the EE does, then you suffer through it.

True. But you will be wasting 4 years of your life in college, and if you are not enjoying what you study, ha. that’s even worse then getting a job in a few months.

If you want to make a living, even if you never that job, you will have to take it. For example, janitor! Here in NYC it’s one of the best job you can get! No kidding.

My point is: worry about the next four year of your life right now. You might like EE later, who knows. What if you like music later? We don’t know. The economy is bad, but I do expect it becoming better. We have a lot to fix… the infrastructure across the nation is… ugh… risking people’s life.

with a username like bjt223 you’d better be going into ee
