This might have been discussed already, but i haven't been on here in quite some time.

So, now that the settlers have been evacuated, what do you guys think is going to happen?

Obviously there's a lot of tension and uncertainty right now regarding the future state of the GAza strip. Personally, I think the likelihood of a future Palestinian state developing is rather slim. The extremist organizations, islamofascists, jihads and whatnot are terrorists. If terrorists continue to launch bombs from the coastal strip, I don't like to think about what will happen between israel and plestine negotations and Sharon in his own Lilkud party.

Anyway, inadequate attention is focused on west bank, but if there are opinions, feel free to state it, provided they don't result in flame wars and trolling.

This will turn into a flame war once hardstyleprep posts another ignorant, biased, and hateful article in here, and an argument ensues. The last thread concerning this was locked after like 250 posts because it turned into a flamewar. We can't discuss this normally since after all, hardstyle prep is a troll.

I personally think that while a coherent and effective state can't be formed out of the Gaza Strip alone Palestine will take huge strides in forming its own government and country. That is what the Palestinian people want and no small amount of terrorists among them can bring those goal to a halt.

yes, inadequate attention is being given to the West Bank as it is probably the single most important piece of land necessary for a Palestinian state (being connected with Jerusalem). However, that should change in the future also as long as the Palestinians establish their own state in the Gaza Strip and show the world that they were always ready to have their own state.

They had their own state and lost it through their own hatred of another race. They should never get it back. We've gone over this a million times/

good reply collegefreak.

"They had their own state and lost it through their own hatred of another race. They should never get it back. We've gone over this a million times/"

While I agree with this, what's done is done. The most important thing to do right now is to thwart terrorism.

Technically they never had a state in terms of a unifying government. They used to be split into different tribes and localities with limited connections.

Remember, this was never turned into a race issue by the Palestinians. If a certain group of people are occupying your land you will not blame another group.

For more than a thousand years Jews and Muslims have been peacefully coexisting in that region. Where was the "race hatred" back then.

Also, since Judaism isn't a race I can't possibly see how the Palestinians had hatred for another "race".
