<p>Essays: for UC prompt my first essay is about my upbringing in a primarily Asian community and how the homogeneity made it difficult for me to stand out and how it shaped my futures goals of wanting to make a difference. My second essay is about my experience at Drum Major Academy and how it affected me and made me want to make an impact on the lives of others. Overall my essays are pretty good.</p>

<p>Your GPA, SATs are all in the range for those schools. </p>

<p>There is nothing MAJOR about you that really stands out (kind of ‘typical’ Asian) - but that’s okay, because your stats are definitely good enough for the schools you are applying. Don’t worry; you’ll be fine!!</p>

<p>I think you have a good chance at every school you listed (except maybe UCLA which is getting much more competitive). Like lacamotif said, there’s nothing MAJOR that stands out about you, but that’s okay.</p>

<p>Dude, I’m exactly like you; messed up frosh year, wrote about my Asian upbringing in my essays. Except your scores and gpa are way better than me.</p>

<p>I think you’re a match for all the UC schools. UT Austin is a match as well; I’m not too familiar with Northeastern though so I couldn’t make a guess there.</p>

<p>Like the others, I think that all of the UCs but Berkeley and UCLA are matches, Cal Poly too. I’m not too familiar with the other schools though. Good luck!</p>
