I have a set list of colleges and now I just need help setting them into
Reach match etc

I have a 3.2 and currently 1800 sat 630 math 540 reading 630 writing
Waiting for new sat scores to come in.
Reason for low GPA is i have a mood disorder similiar but lots less severe than depression.
So my essay is about how i overcame the mood stuff and it explains the subpar grades.
I've taken 4 AP and 12 honors courses
My letters of Rec should be good
9/10 math teacher
8/10 comp sci teacher (new to school)
Counselor 7/10

Hope to major in comp sci and Im anxious because this is a more difficult major to gain acceptance.
Anyways

Case western ea

Dayton
American

James Madison ea
Ohio northern
Indiana

With American you may have a chance… idk if it’s because of my school recognition that several people with lower states got in but I know they were really impressed with the internship requirement that our school gives us senior year. One girl had a 3.2 and 1860 with an internship that related to her major. Syracuse I think there is a chance as well but it depends on the college within SU. Those are the only colleges I know of sorry!

I think you should be good at Dayton and Ohio Northern. Can you try the Dec ACT? You may be able to get into Miami with these stats but a score increase would help.

What’s your budget? What’s in state?
Don’t forget to make a new thread once you have your new SAT scores.
You should have one more safety - could be Millersville, Rowan, SUNY Oswego, Penn State Beaver, Moravian, Drew…

This is purely academic-based, you need to check the net price calculator for each of these.

*= public universities where you wouldn’t get financial aid unless you’re instate.

Okay, then… Remove three-four from your reaches or high matches - pick the most expensive ones according to the Net Price Calculator. Add three or four schools that are better matches or safeties.
Since you’re from PA, make sure to have either one more PASSHE school or a Penn State branch campus (such as Erie, Altoona, Harrisburg…)

I’ve already applied to many of these places and money is not a huge concern.
My parents saved up extensively.
I’m happy with the list i have and know even if I got into 1/17 I would be somewhat happy.
I just want to go to the best school I can so I want to reach as high as I can.
