I have a set list of colleges and now I just need help setting them into
Reach match etc

I have a 3.2 and currently 1800 sat 630 math 540 reading 630 writing
Waiting for new sat scores to come in.
Reason for low GPA is i have a mood disorder similiar but lots less severe than depression.
So my essay is about how i overcame the mood stuff and it explains the subpar grades.
I've taken 4 AP and 12 honors courses
My letters of Rec should be good
9/10 math teacher
8/10 comp sci teacher (new to school)
Counselor 7/10

Hope to major in comp sci and Im anxious because this is a more difficult major to gain acceptance.
Anyways

Many of the colleges seem to be good matches. One word though: essays. Write a kick-ass essay and you have a good shot at all of them. Don’t be hesitant to write about mental illness or any other disabilities. It’ll just show that you came out of it as a stronger individual.

You and I have a very similar list of colleges That’s a lot of schools to apply to, though, and if you’re anything like me, you’re not going to want to write that many essays. You seem to have a pretty decent balance of safeties, matches, and reaches, but I’d probably get rid of a couple of them just to save yourself time and money.

Also, what are you looking for from your college experience? You’re applying to a huge array of different types of colleges, and I feel that if you do a little research into what your non-negotiables are, you’ll be able to whittle down that list.

This is large array of schools, and I’m afraid I’m not overly familiar with most of them to give a comprehensive chance, but I’ll try my best. As for VTech, I think it’s a high match, same with Pitt. American U is a reach. GPA will do some damage, but it’s not a admission destroyer. Comp sci is a competitive major, so that may lower your chances a bit, especially if it’s a LEP. I might be able to give an opinion which is more accurate if you provide a list of ECs.
