Hi guys!
I know this is an extremely long post to read (trust me, it was even longer to write aha :)) but, since I don't really know if I'm a competitive applicant (I live in Quebec, so admission officers rarely come here and very few info on American colleges is available), I really need your opinions. I am French Canadian, and I currently attend CEGEP, which is a mandatory post-high school and pre-university school here in Quebec. I could be considered a junior, since I'll apply next year.

Objective:[list]
[li] SAT I (breakdown): 2080 (M:740 W:700, 8 on the essay, CR: 640) I know this is very low. I'm French Canadian, so English is neither my native nor my everyday spoken language. I'm a junior, and I wrote the SAT for the first time in January. I studied during my whole one month holiday and had predicted scores up to 2300. The math section went worst than I expected, I think I can bring my score near 800. As for CR, I'll definitely work on it. It's mostly a vocabulary problem.
[/li]

[li]Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 4.0 (Full IB)
[/li]

[li]Other standardized stuff: 37 unweighted R Score, probably around 38-39 weighted (The R Score has the same role in Quebec as the SAT scores in the US. It basically ranks you according to your grades and where you stand in your class. You need 34 to get into med, and 32-35 is considered outstanding. A 37-39 R Score is most likely a 99 percentile) [/li]On provincial exams: 99 percentile in the province in French, 99 in English as a foreign language, 97 in Math. 99+ percentile on a reasoning test taken a long time ago.

[li]Current rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): Top 3 / 125 IBers (competitive).
[/li]

[li]High school ranks: 1/433 (1st through high school, I'm a valedictorian)
[/li]

[li]IB (place score in parenthesis): All predicted 7s. French, English - bilingual level, Algebra, Theory of Knowledge, Environmental systems I, Spanish
[/li]

[li]Senior Year Course Load: Full IB (French, English, Statistics, Philosophy, Environmental systems III, Spanish) + journalism class
[/li]

[li]Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.): Major national prize at Canada Wide Science Fair (best science fair project about water in the country, represented Canada at international competition), Canadian representant at MILSET international science fair (one of the 10 participants chosen out of 10 000), honourable mention (engineering) at Canada Wide Science Fair, 4th place (overall) at provincial Science Fair, scholarship from the provincial energy efficiency agency and other science fair prizes/medals, Canada's Governor General's academic medal
[/li]

[]Other awards:* Bunch of school awards (excellence, math, french, history, journalism, science), CEGEP scholarship (awarded yearly to 5 new students out of 2000 (about 50 of them apply) to recognize that these students are likely to benefit the school and the student body), nominated for the Personality of the Year prize by teachers, Poetry contest (school representant at provincial level), Short story contest (school representant at provincial level), School math contest (2nd place in grade 9, 3rd place in grade 10), qualified two years in a row for the semi-final of the Dict
