Chance a Confused Applicant...

Hey, I'll make this short and sweet...

Gender: Male
Race: White
Major: Political Science

Resident of PA.
Applying to UPark.

GPA (Unweighted/Weighted)

Freshman - 2.6/2.8
Sophomore - 3.8/3.9
Junior - 3.8/4.1

Cummulative - Not quite sure. I think just above a 3.5 weighted. Freshman year had the most credits.

Heaviest schedule available.

SAT (With Writing/Without)

2180/1440

Significant ECs

Captain of Debate Team
18 hrs/week Photo Lab Technician @ CVS/Pharmacy

Conclusion

I already submitted my application. Foolishly didn't check that I'd be fine with summer session. Personal statement about my debate involvement. GPA is low. Tests are high. Worried.

Thanks in advance...

Your SATs are well within PSU UP's range for admission and your GPA shows improvemnt through your HS career. I would say that you have a real good shot at UP admission this fall.

Good call on the personal statement.

if you want, you can call/email admissions and say that you'd like to change your application so that you'd like to be considered for summer if you don't get into fall.

Most recent SATs put me at a 2280/1480 (single sitting), if that changes anything...

And yeah, I might call them and ask to change my application.

Oh, and I checked my weighted GPA and it's a 3.6, so take that into account as well.

Thanks everyone so far!

your in, even for fall, your SATs are really good and you GPA is right in the Upark range... you should be fine
