Chances

I realize I am most likely a reach but I just want to know where I stand.

GPA: 3.7 weighted, 2.95 unweighted
ACT: 30 ( English:30, Reading: 32, Math: 29, Science:30, Writing, 9)

I attend a competitive public high school in Illinois, and have taken all accelerated course work.

I am interested in majoring in Advertising/Public Relations.

You’re in.

thanks, bump

you have a very good chance of getting in, because Pennstate considers only weighted gpa in their admission decisions.

Sorry to invade your thread, but does that mean if you have above a 4.0 weighted GPA, you’re basically in?

Thanks guys for the help, and I’d say as long as you have that and a decent SAT/ACT then you should be fine. There is a bubble chart that they use for admissions I believe.

Yeah I’ve seen that bubble chart. I got a 1940 on my second SAT in June…I’m not sure if I should retake it or not :/

1940 should be good enough to get you into PSU-UP with the GPA you have.

Cool beans. thanks.

Any more opinions?

bumpppppppp

BUMPer cars

yea bumppppp

bummmmmpppp

bummmmmpppp

you’re fine. Look at older threads for reassurance.

No need for anymore bumps.

haha sorry I’m just nervous.

cwryan, would you please chance me? I don’t know how to make a link.

not the correct place, chance me

Not to be mean or anything. But your weighted GPA means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The only thing they will look for is your unweighted which you said was a 2.95. That is a very low score (I’m not trying to hurt you, but i’m telling the truth). However, you do have a decent ACT score, so if its anything that might get you in, it would be your ACT score.
