Hi guys! I was wondering if you all could possibly chance me for a few schools so that I have a realistic view of my chances heading into senior year. I plan to apply ED to Rice, but I'm looking at a few other top schools plus some state schools in case I don't get in. Sorry for the lack of wonderful formatting, I'm typing this on an iPad.

I'm currently a junior in Alaska and a white male in a large public high school that is the #1 school in the state. I've gotten straight A's except for a B in 1st semester AP Bio my sophomore year. I could also possibly receive a B in AP Calc AB this semester. This would leave me with about a 4.21 weighted GPA, a 3.94 unweighted, and hopefully, a top ten class rank. I'll take 10 AP classes by the end of my senior year (Bio, Lang, Econ, APUSH, Calc AB, French, Statistics, Environmental Science, Lit, and Government).

As for standardized tests, I'm taking the April ACT. Based off of the practice tests I've done so far, I'm thinking that I'll get about a 31-33 composite score and anywhere from an 8-10 on the writing portion.

I feel like extracurriculars will be the strongest part of my application. I feel like they show a strong interest in social studies/law related stuff. They are...

Youth Court (9-12) - I'll likely be the Chief Judge starting in April and will have racked up about 400 hours of community service with the organization. I'm currently the Assistant Chief Judge.

Debate/Forensics (10-12) - I don't know why I didn't do this my freshman year, but I'm glad I joined the team in my sophomore year. I was a semifinalist in LD at the state tournament my sophomore year and was an octafinalist in LD at this year's tournament. I attended NCFL nationals my sophomore year in LD and am currently the team's treasurer.

Partners Club (9-12) - I'm a co-president. Basically, we work with Special Olympics and the life skills kids at my school to help give them a sense of friendship/community within our school. We've basically made them a valuable part of the school community.

We the People State Competition (11) - Woohoo, state champions! Our school qualified for nationals but I was unable to attend. I may return as an assistant coach next year if our school goes to the competition.

Mock Trial (11-12)

National Honor Society (10-12)

JV Tennis (10-12) - I may try out for varsity next year, we'll see...

I'll get good letters of recommendation from my APUSH and French V teachers (she'll be my AP French teacher as well next year). I may also ask my AP Lang teacher for one as well. Please chance me, I'd be willing to chance you back if you want me to!
