Chance a deffered canidate

<p>I recently was deffered early action an was wondering what are my chances for reg. decision this is also my first choice school an i have expressed alot of intrest in the school.</p>

<p>Race: African American
Gender: M
Location: New Jersey
High School: Private
High School Type: Very Competitive
Major - Marketing</p>

<p>Academics:</p>

<p>GPA - Unweighted: 3.2
Class Size: 220 about</p>

<p>Scores: SAT (CR: 520, Math: 470, Write: 520) I know really bad but I suck at standardized test</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:</p>

<p>Significant Extracurriculars:
Mock Trial - 4 Years
Debate Club - 4 Years
Business Club - 3 years
Umoja Club - 4 Years
Campus Ministry - 4 Years
Student Ambassador - 4 Years
Stendent Mentor - 1 Year
Asian Club - 4 Years
Leadership positions: Debate Club Vice-President
Intramural Football - 4 Years</p>

<p>Athletics:
Spring Track- 4 Years Varsity(2yrs)
Winter Track- 4 Years Varsity(2yrs)</p>

<p>Volunteer/Service Work:
100+ hours of community service</p>

<p>This year I am currently taking 2 AP's.</p>

<p>don't stress, its diffidently possible. theres a reason why you were deferred and not rejected. and worst comes to absolute worst you can transfer into NU as a sophomore.</p>

<p>i'd say you have a 50/50 chance, it will be close...</p>

<p>those SAT scores are on the weaker side. </p>

<p>Make sure you have some safety schools you really like as well--just in case.</p>

<p>I'm in Northeastern and my roommate has similar SAT scores, but probably not as many extracurriculars. Don't worry about getting deffered, but definitely have some back-ups. Perhaps Rutgers?</p>

<p>fresh prince- i think youre fine the best thiing to do while being deferred is to do your best especially if your taking a challenging curriculum & as for the SATs they are not that bad, i suck at stnadardized tests too but i have almost perfect grades (3.7/4.0)..they didnt reject you so try to make your second or even third quarter spectacular to show motivation in a time where many other seniors are just being lazy (lol).
