--I feel that my bio subject test is what will keep me out. I am about to retake it to try and get it over 700 to increase my chances..

Your scores look great. You are well-rounded. I’d say you have a nice chance of acceptance!!

SAT IIs look weak sauce

Side note – are you a National Hispanic Scholar? If you are Hispanic and a National Merit Semi-Finalist, you would have also qualified for National Hispanic Scholar. If you haven’t pursued the award, it might not be too late. See [PSAT/NMSQT Scholarships & Recognition](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>For Students: National Recognition Programs - BigFuture)

I have a S/D at Rice and could not be happier. It is a great school and I think you have a really good chance. Your stats seem competitive. One question did you declare a major?

@ScienceGirlMom yes i believe have already pursued the award as well. thanks

@houstonmom2 i declared a major in biochem

I desperately want to get accepted to Rice as well! It’s my dream school. I did ED, but I don’t know… I’m very pessimistic. Doubt I’ll get in :(

@senior13rs I feel the same way you do…

2250 SAT and 660 Bio are under standards for Rice University. Id say HIGH REACH

The obligatory chancing is nearly meaningless post: from what I’ve seen of acceptances and rejections, a purely stats based chancing is not a predictor of anything. Posts like that of @Braggadocio merely demonstrate that some people here have lost touch with reality: most adcoms at top schools will readily admit that after about 2250, SAT scores cease to matter very much (if at all) in the evaluation process.
