Other Info:-
His essays are brilliant!! Way better than anything else that I've read!
Very Strong Teacher/Counselor recommendations.
International Applicant(Indian). Will need aid (~50%)

He has applied to:-
MIT
Dartmouth
Harvard
UPenn
Cornell
HarveyMudd
Columbia

His intended major is comp sci./comp. engineering/eng sciences.

Now, recently we both had a wager. I bet that he would easily get into Cornell,Dartmouth & HarveyMudd and was competitive for Harvard/MIT/Upenn/Columbia. While he said that all of these colleges were high reaches for him!!
I am in need of assurance now. If I loose. I have to treat him and he is a voracious eater!!

Thankyou in advance for your replies!!
Ohh, for those wondering that ^ this might be my own stats. They aren't cause I've already had my hopes dashed with a chances post!! :)

The fact that he will need financial aid significantly decreases his chances at top schools. I don’t think he’ll get into MIT/Harvard/Columbia/UPenn for his major. He doesn’t seem to have much ECs within that specific realm. Rest is all up to chance and luck.

But Cornell/Harvard/MIT/Dartmouth are need blind for international students. And about ECs within that realm - he’s done a month’s internship/course or something with a big national IT company here in India in 10th. That should count??

I think he’s got great chances at Cornell and Darrmouth and UPenn and Mudd (I think he’ll absolutely get in here), but thy are not matches (except for Mudd maybe) or anything. I think your friend will be in great shape for them. Columbia, Harvard, etc are also up in the air, but I think your friend has a good chance there too. However no one can ever predict these things, your friend may get into te hardest reaches on his list and get rejected from the “easier” ones, it’s that random. Good luck to you and your friend with colleges! I have to say though your friends real weakness is in his intended major: he has no accomplishments in computer sciences or engineering. I fact, when I was reading his ECs I was sure he was interested in some kind of political or international relations major with his dedication to MUN. I don’t know how much this might hurt him since he still has clear dedication to ECs.
Also, @SwedishM8, you are very wrong. All of these schools are need blind. They even vow to meet all of expected need for the applicant. These schools are said to be the best options for middle class families because of the financial aid they give.

^ Thats what I have been telling him!!
My stats are quite similar to him. A bit low on the SAT I but higher on the internal marks!! So we are kind of in the same boat! Though my essays are not that great!!
And well, he is a great speaker & writer but he doesn’t see that as a career option. He’s been into programming from 9th & does a lot of it in his spare time, but no real achievements!!
And I know that the Ivy admissions can never be predicted but his presumption that he won’t get into any of the universities is what I bet against & your reply’s given me assurance that I’ll be the one getting the treat!! So Thankyou!!
And well Columbia, HarveyMudd & Upenn do state that though they meet 100% aid, their adnissions for intn’l students are need aware!! So SwedishM8 is partly right!!

Oh I completely missed that he is international. His chances are somewhat lower for admission, but I still think he’ll gain admission to one of these universities.

^ My apologies. It somehow slipped in my mind that these schools are need-blind.
But to reiterate, it’ll be difficult for your friend to get into Harvard/UPenn/Columbia/MIT…heck, they’re reaches for everyone.

So can I safely assume the end verdict to be that there is 90% chance that he WILL be accepted by atleast ONE of the universities listed above?? :)
