Chances for my friend...at Harvard, MIT, and other ridiculously hard to get intos

Okay, here're my friends stats...He didn't want to post them himself...but he gave me consent to post them if I felt like it.

His essay is amazing. He got recs from teachers who usually turn students down if they don't think the student deserves a certain college, and he knows the teachers really well. I expect that the recs are going to be amazing.

So there it is. Not sure where he's applying...but I think he has Caltech, MIT, Princeton, Umich, Yale, Stanford, and Harvard on his list...plus some safeties.

how tall is he?

uhhhhhhhhhhh.........why does he even need to bother posting in this forum? The only thing i see that's even remotely bad is lack of leadership.

Oh, well I'm trying to convince him that he has a good chance of getting into his dream schools...he won't take my word...so I decided to let you guys decide.

*** o.0!! do you stalk "ur friend" mr. micheal jackson?

Yes, frequently, especially at night...what a nice question to ask.

seriously how tall is this guy?

Average height? maybe 5' 8''?

hey what about hair color, and weight?

This student has a big "S" on his chest, right?

how are you friends with this guy?

Hair color is black...don't know about weight...not sure about the S...and we're friends through math competitions, summer classes, and the such...so does anyone else have any helpful questions?

he seems like a grind, he'll def. get into MIT, Harvard likes people that are a little cooler/more interesting

I think he needs to start considering community college.

why do you even post this kind of a thread. this guy has near perfect academics and a decent EC record. OF COURSE he has a chance at any school in the world, but there are no guarantees when it comes to Ivy's. Have people made it in with this type of resume...yes. but people have also been rejected.

Your friend is a very competitive applicant at HYPS and any other top school he cares to apply to. In short, better than average chances everywhere. However, he's not a shoe-in (nobody is at these schools), and should apply to a few good, but less selective schools (you know, matches and safeties) for backups. By the way, UMich should be no problem. He should probably consider it a safety.

He's a shoe-in. Seriously. And I don't say that often.

That is, unless he decides to go Tourettes in his essay or confess to murdering his pastor, etc etc.

I'm so jealous..

With your info I can just type up his achievement and find out who he is online. But I won't be doing that... admissions officers might do that FOR me...

hahahahahahhah youre hilarious

man i hate hard working punks like this.
