Thanks guys! :)

sure, as soon as you tell me what "academic" means and if you're taking the hardest classes your schools offers. You can also just look at the UW admissions chart (look at lovelivelaugh's Chance thread for the link). :)

OK- nevamind didn't read the part about academic. Can you answer the last question though?

i started out taking the easiest classes because i messed up a lot in middle school, but by next year, i'll have a pretty tough schedule considering they only allow us to take 4 AP classes and i'll be taking 3. i'm hoping that my increasingly difficult schedule might help my chances?

It will but I don't know how much really. I'm sorry to say I don't really know your chances because your situation is kindof unique. Your GPA, good ACT score, and extracurriculars would get you in if you were taking the toughest courseload but you've only taken a few honors and 1 AP class so far...

All I can probably say with accuracy is you have a chance and, according to the chart, its 70-90%. Don't take the chart too seriously though; I've seen people with 70% chances postponed and then denied as well (although only a few of them).

I say just keep working hard and, if postponed, get great mid-years to show them you can do well if accepted.
