chance a junior

Applying to Brown (ED), Dartmouth, Cornell, BU, Duke, U of Chicago, U of Miami, Virginia Tech, William and Mary, UMass-Amherst and GMU (safety), maybe Berkeley
Fell like the ivies might be a stretch because of ECs, but fell somewhat confident in grades and scores. I hope to get interviews at Brown and Dartmouth this summer.

Live in Fairfax, Va
White male
School is ~90th ranked by that one magazine

Rank: unsure, definitely top 10% out of 600-700, maybe around top 5%
GPA: 3.9U, several B's in Freshman year, 1-2 B+s in junior year. good grade progression
SAT I: 710 CR 770 M 740 W (might retake if I wish to)
SAT II: Math I 750 (I think) Chemistry 770
Major: Biochem, premed

Will have test scores for AP Statistics, AP US History, and IB Chemistry II SL after this year. Next year, I plan to complete IB Biology HL, IB Physics HL, IB English HL, AP Calculus AB, and AP US Government. Think I can expect high scores for the math/science tests, maybe a little lower for English/history.

No honors, unfortunately. School I went to for 9th-10th didn't offer any.

EC's... mine are very limited, I know. I went to school out of the country for four years and course selection, EC opportunities, internships were very limited. I plan to inform the colleges of this. Desperately trying to get as many as I can now and for next year but I still think they're fairly weak. Here they are:

FIRST Robotics, Head of CAD (2008- present)
Medical/Biology Club (2008- present)
Sophomore Class Treasurer (2007-2008)
JV Basketball (2006-2008)
JV Tennis (2007)
Varsity Outdoor Track and Field (2008)
Indoor Track and Field (2008- present)
Will take ACM math test

For this summer, I have a biology research internship for 10 weeks. I also will start volunteering at the local hospital throughout the summer and my senior year. I already have about 50-70 hours of community service from volunteering at the Air and Space Museum, homeless shelters, etc.

Honors:
Academic Honor Roll (2006-present)
National Honor Society (2008-present)
Mu Alpha Theta (2008- present)

Work experience:
Summer hire in 2007 at a US Army garrison
Might work at a local grocery store part-time my senior year

Could people chance me and give me suggestions on what to work on? I want to know if I should try to look more rounded and try to add more English/social studies ECs or try to focus mainly on sciences and math.

well, youre in at GMU, BU, Miami, and VA tech and UMass, after those it gets tough. To be honest, i dont think that youre ECs are especially weak even considering the Ivy league's standards, youre SATs are spot on. I guess W+M would be the next easiest. Definitely focus on Math and Science if those are your favorites, for example, students with a 700 on CR and 750M on the SAT have a lower chance of getting into MIT than someone with a 600CR and a 800M. Focus on what you like and then explain that in your admissions essays.
Also look at places like USC and Northwestern, those are pretty good matches for you.

Your EC's aren't that bad at all! Go for it!
