Chance a less than perfect junior?

Less than perfect on CC, rare, I know.

I'm a CT resident, white male, with 1450/2170 SAT(I'm hopeful I can increase this to about 2300 next fall.), 3.6 UW 3.8 W GPA and a small handful of ECs. (2 varsity sports, music). I'll have 6 APs, and a few courses at the local community college completed by graduation.

Will my better than average SATs compensate for my GPA?

I'll be majoring in bio with neuroscience concentration if accepted.

U Mich will be one of my top choices, as long as I get a decent amount of fin. aid.

I'll be applying EA.

Chances?

you have a good shot. You should be fine for LSA. Apply early. It’s rolling admissions, and this year, some kids got in before the EA deadline. If you want the best chance, apply by October 1.

It is more competitive for out-of-state than in-state to get in. If you were in-state, you would still be on the boundary because your GPA is on the low-side. Great SAT score though, top 25% at U of M probably.

EC’s I’m guessing are probably pretty good? 2 Varsity sports is nice, unless you go to a reaally small school and everyone makes the team =P Haha just playin.

Bring up your GPA!!!

That is all =) Good Luck!

Yeah if you were instate I would say your chances are around average, though as a OSS your chances are probably a little below average.
