Chance a low gpa?

UW GPA: 3.45 (my school doesn't do weighted)
I did very terribly my sophomore year because I didn't care about school, but I did pretty well junior year, ending 2nd semester with 1 B
Also, I took a lot of hard classes, all honors and ap. I think my weighted is around 3.9

AP: Euro (3), Calc AB (4), Calc BC (5), Chem (4), Bio (4), U.S History (4)

SAT: 2060 (taking again but i don't think the score's getting any higher)

SAT II:
710 Chem, 740 Math, 680 US history, 670 Bio

EC:
National Honor Society (officer 4 yrs) - 70 hrs
American Cancer Society (officer 1 yr)
Model UN (1 yr; 2 conferences)
Volunteering at local hospital (officer of program) - 350 hrs
played an instrument 9 yrs

Senior Classes: ap lit, ap stats, ap physics, ap econ, ap psych

I'm guessing it a high reach? my sat and gpa are too low. does usc ask for and actually consider midyear reports? It would really help if i could show fantastic grades for senior year.

USC will ask for midyear reports and they are usually cognizant of students who show upwards trends in their grades. However, unless you get all As in your fall semester, I do agree that the GPA is a bit low.

If you can retake the SAT, I think you should really study if USC is your dream school. If you do flashcards, get a friend to tutor you, practice tests, etc and can raise it to a 2100+ your chances will improve.

AP scores are OK, not amazing. Same with ECs.

If nothing changes, I don’t see you getting in. If you can raise the SAT, I can see you maybe having a shot. Good luck!

Admissions officer told me that unless you are going to raise your SAT by 300 then there is point retaking it
