Hi, I was wondering of my chances to the U

GPA currently: 3.5 unweighted and 3.58 weighted (first ever AP class this year)
ACT: 21 (not retaking and was told last second I had no extended time)
SAT: 1170 (also not retaking due to chronic pain finally catching up to me)
9th grade: 3.2
10th grade: 3.68
11th grade: 3.62

Gender: Female
Race: Asian (Chinese)
Household income: 350K+
First generation: No.

Taking two sciences this year. AP Biology and Anatomy & Physiology ("&" is one class still).

I was 2nd in the high school table tennis state championships.
I do art commissions and have won several online art contests.
I draw in my spare time and also make anatomy and neuroscience flashcards for fun.
My adversities: 17 surgeries in lifetime (two during high school), physically disabled, partial hearing loss, adoption, neglected as an infant causing brain damage possibly, and ADHD, and autism. I also have one rare condition (1/42,000) that causes my physical disability. I miss school often due to medical appointments.

What college within U of MN?

Biological sciences.

@Mollinator5 Biological Sciences is a rigorous college, just like CSE. I am currently in CBS as a freshman. Your stats fall a little short of what the averages are for CBS. However, UMN is a holistic application and you have a good background and diversity that would fit well with the U. You may get a notification about getting into your second choice college and you may hear back from CBS soon after. It can take some time.

Do you know if you go to a rigorous high school or happen to know your class rank? Those tend to help in getting a better picture at how you fit.

If you have any questions about Biological Sciences from a freshman’s point of view you can always PM me. I wish you the best of luck on your college application journey!

I go to a rigorous private school. And we don’t provide class rank to colleges (I am top 50% though secretly). And I forgot to mention I did 77+ hours of community service.
