Bump? 10char

hey bud, this is the Columbia forum, not Princeton.

I think OP wants to chances for columbia, and is just mentioning he is a princeton deferee
You have great SAT and ACT scores, though not outstanding. Your GPA is pretty impressive thoughZ
You have a hook: first gen college student. That should give you a boost.
Wow, rec letters from a senator and a college professor? pretty amazing. I’d say that if they are great, they will help you a LOT.
Good luck! It’s good that you have math club. Have you taken the AMC before though? It would be better to report those scores too, especially since you are applying as a math major.
Good luck!

I should’ve probably been more explicit ~ I want my chances for Columbia loll
Don’t know if it matters, but a girl applied to Columbia ED from my school with an 1870 SAT, ranked about 10th - was denied

If people like you are getting deferred from Princeton, I want to know who gets accepted… Assuming your essays correlated with your stats.

@nihility thanks =) but there was a kid who was applying from the same area as I live who has better stats than I do and he’s the valedictorian of a top 50 school…that’s the reason why I think I was deferred.

Bump? 10char
