New Jersey resident looking at Rutgers for Nursing. However, my gpa is very low. I am 75% sure Rutgers is where I want to be. However, you cannot transfer into Rutgers Nursing from an outside school(such as a community college) Should I just apply undecided and switch my major to nursing(which is a possibility) or should I apply to another campus(aka Camden) to increase my chances of getting in? I'm not sure what to do, I just know I need to get into Rutgers however possible.

Stats:
Gpa 2.85
SAT Writing: 600
Math: 550
CR: 530

Taking SATS again next weekend and ACTS after that. BTW my gpa is so low because I had health issues my sophomore and junior years and was in and out of the hospital. I intend to mention that in my essay.

Your stats are borderline, especially for a program like Nursing. I would probably apply to your first choice campus , apply as undecided, and apply to Camden (you have 3 choices). I would also apply to other nursing programs outside of Rutgers. It is not necessary to attend Rutgers to get a good job as a nurse.

Not quite sure since I only finished my first year here at Rutgers. I asked the seniors who graduated at my former high school and some kids didn’t get in. (They had a 3.5 weighted GPA, decent extra curricular, and 1800~ SATs)

I also read in the Daily Targum that admissions admitted around 200 fewer students for the Class of 2018. I do believe they are trying to make their admissions slightly more selective, but just try to do well your senior year I guess and it should work out.
