I am fluent in Italian. I have been part of The italian federatoin of italian american organizations of Queens and have been teaching italian to elderly and children. I am also apart of the youth court. i also have started a pilgrimage at my school to Assisi for next year. I volunteer at the MET and will be volunteerin the FIERI which is another non porfitable italian american organization. Every year I ahve gone to italy and have helped raised fundraisers in my town due to the lack of neccesties and due to the lack of money there is. For instance, soon there will be no longer be a pastor in the town since there is no money and everyone is moving out. Each year I raise fundraisers for the club that we have in New york that is made up of a majority of the people who are from our town and we send it over. Also I help arrange the feasts for the saints and gatherings at the square. i truly love my italian culture and will always try to spread it. I will also be attending boston college over the summer for a 6 week program which i will be taking 2 college credit courses which are philosophy and french revolution.

I am a white female who would love the oppurtunity to be a student at this school

Pretty big reach for you.

can you explain why

You seem to have a really strong focus on Italian, but I’m not sure how you can be “fluent” when your SAT II score is 670…

Also, the fact that you’re not taking calculus and you didn’t take a math sat II will really hurt your chances if you are planning to apply to wharton.

I really don’t know what happened on that SAT 2. I am retaking it tho in november. As far for the math, I am taking pre calculus and i did not say I wanted to go to wharton. I do not want to go to the business school

i plan to go the the college of arts and sciences

even at the CAS, students are expected to enroll for Calc (preferably BC) sr year. If not, serious efforts must be made to explain why. Thats what my college counselor told me.

there is no calculus class in my school there is only calculus Honors and my teacher said only kids with like a 100 avg can go into it because its like skipping another grade so instead of the regular math 12 ppl r taking I am taking pre calculus

this is really unfair to you but it seems like your school dragged you down in this one. Look at the other kids’ stats and you’ll understand why upenn is a reach.

By the way, world history and us history are basically testing the same skill set; you need to diversify the array of skills you’re showcasing for colleges. Ideal: language/science + humanities + math for ANY institution. (ex: Italian + World History + Math IIc in your case)
