Chance a small town rural kid for WashU: ED and Notre Dame

I made one of these before, but now that I've already applied to WashU I kinda wanted to make one again. Maybe this will calm my nerves a bit.

I think u have a solid shot at WashU for sure…im also applyin to WashU ED and im from IL and have a 32 on my ACT too :D, lol…so i hope we both get in

WashU : ED–High Match-I’ve heard interest is very important so I’m sure if you show enough, you can get in. You definitely have the stats.
Notre Dame-I really don’t know anything about Notre Dame, sorry.
MIT–High Reach-It is for everyone. Without some incredible award or the ability to cure cancer, it’s really up in the air.
UPennsylvania (Wharton)–Reach
Babson College–Don’t know much about it.
Saint Louis University–Same
Georgetown–Low Reach/High Match

cool ^ what town/city are you from? I might know where it is.

BTW thanks for the chances and I hope we both get in too!

Very strong profile. Likely for WashUStL ED, possible for UPenn Wharton.

Yeah I’m hoping that if I do apply to UPenn Wharton, which I only will if I get denied/deferred at WashU, my experience and passion for trading will be somewhat of a hook.

Your stats are at or above the range of every school you applied to. You also have good extracurriculars, leadership, and community service. I’d say you have a decent shot at all of them. Naturally, MIT will come as a bit of a stretch, just like everyone else. Good luck and thanks for chancing me.

By the way, what is your planned major?

^ Finance/Business

Two other schools with good business programs you could consider are New York University-Stern and University of Virginia-McIntire.

all you will probably get in except upenn and mit, but then again those are crapshoots

mit and penn will be hard, but they are for all. but others are in.

chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/599653-very-very-not-perfect.html

definite for all but mit and penn. georgetown is a high match. good luck!

WashU : ED - good chance. Most likely in.
Notre Dame - match
MIT - reach
UPennsylvania (Wharton) - reach
Babson College - don’t know
Saint Louis University - don’t know
Georgetown - match

Good luck.

Might want to look at Holy Cross-near Boston-school is a smaller version of Notre Dame.

Im from hoffman estates, close to schaumburg if u know where that is, it’s a northwest suburb…where r u from?? Haha i jus noticed tht u r applyin to SLU too, i am too jus to let u know, lol, ull get in there for sure

^ Oh yeah so you’re kinda in between chicago and rockford right, but I think you’re still in Cook County? Haha, I’ve been to that water park in Rockford like 20 times if u know what I’m talkin’ about. Magic Waters or something. I’m only mildly familiar with that area. I’m from the small town of Pontiac in central IL, it’s only about a 2 hour drive from you. It takes about 1.5 hours to get to Chicago from here. My brother goes to IIT (Illinois Institute of Tech.)

haha ya im in cook county, and i actually have been to tht water park, lol…i think i know where your from too…my cousin goes to IIT too, lol…it’s about a 40-60 min drive to chicago from where i am, not to bad actually

WashU : ED - reach
Notre Dame - match
MIT - reach
UPennsylvania (Wharton) - high reach
Babson College - No idea… but if I haven’t heard of it, it’s probably a match/safety :stuck_out_tongue:
Saint Louis University - My cousin went there! He really liked it too. It’s like right across the street from WashU. low match or safety
Georgetown - reach … maybe low reach

Thanks for all the replies.

BTW I’m a first gen college student and come from a low income family <50K

WashU is not need blind, so my low income might not work to my advantage :(
