Dearest SurfWakeSnow165:

You need to take your ass to those institutions that support scores that consider your scoring and not waste your time applying to higher tier schools as you will waste your energy unless your person is subject to a tipping from a prospective coach or person of interest. Here ability, by way of scoring, is essential unless you meet the statistical metrics of an admissions design for creating a class based on outcomes.

Your schools of choice: Bates, Colby, Hamilton, Colorado College et al.

Understand your potentialities against your prospective schools.

Surfwakesnow, don’t worry about what Horseradish says (assuming you can understand what someone who uses the word “potentialities” is trying to say). It looks like you might be on the lower end of the scale, but don’t let that keep you from trying. There are plenty of people at Midd with comparable stats. If you don’t apply, you’ll never know.

haha thanks urban. Yeah, I obviously know that my stats are on the lower end, and even mentioned that in my post.

With all that academic firepower in terms of classes taken, have you considered taking the ACT to see how you might fair?

Yeah I have…I guess ill take them in november or december? I was going to take them on Saturday but I have County Championships for cross country :/.

hey! dont listen to haters! midd is a super reach for me too but there is no reason not to apply early if its where you can rly see yourself… lets both apply early and get in and then get together and **** on HorseRadish’s doorstep wooo!!

not to say that colby and bates and hamilton arent amazing schools- they are on my list and id be super psyched to get in and attend those schools.

keep on being awesome and i hope to see you next year :-)

i said s…h…i…t not f…u…c…k on the above post and it made the stars. so yea, just clarifying haha

the only thing that is slightly lacking are the SAT scores, but Middlebury doesn’t weigh them as heavily as many people think. if you apply early, as i am, with our other friend too, you’ll stand a good shot. you’re classes / GPA is certaintly what Middlebury looks for. I’m sure they’ll be considering you. I really hope you and I and that other kid get in early, be done with it by Christmas, thank god. It would be so much fun! I hope to see you about a year from now!
