Chance a very unusual person...

First off... I would just like to say that I HATE writing lists/resum

NYU, Cornell, CMU, BU - I would say no for these, because your grades are weak, your SATs are low, you have no substantial ECs and no SAT II scores.

CUNY - yes.

Fordham and Pace - probably yes, because they are not too demanding.

in at Pace and Fordham
NYU high match/reach
Cornell reach
Carnegie mellon match/reach

your grades and SAT's are low for these schools but your essay should score you some big points.

thanks for the constructive criticism... anybody else?

Regardless of your grades, your SAT's are too low for NYU, Cornell, CMU, BU. The aforementioned grades (C's) may indicate that you have a 2. something GPA?

bumpp... Anybody else?

Because of your circumstances, a properly executed essay could make up for your low GPA, and they may try to think of you as the 5A 3B student or whatever you had. This solidifies the GPA situation (for the schools that make that connection), but you still have a Good, but not Cornell good SAT. With a gun to my head, these are my guesses:

NYU- Rejected
Cornell- Rejected
Carnegie Mellon- Rejected
Boston University- Accepted
Fordham University- Accepted
CUNY Baruch- Accepted
Pace University- Accepted

bumppp... anymore takers before I kill this thread?

have confident, NYU and Cornell might accept u. :D

thanks alot guys. I'm gonna nail those essays and get into a good college!
