Comments:
I really got passionate about learning in 11th and 12th grade after joining Youth and Government which I think is kind of reflected in my extracurriculars and work.

Because of Texas law, I am automatically accepted to any Texas public university because I'm in the top 10% of my class. Thus, UT Austin is my safety. I live in Austin and my father works there, and I don't want to leave Texas and pay a fortune for education unless I am going to a top school. These are the schools I'm considering applying to. I realize they are all very difficult to get into, but my hope is that one of them might accept me.

LIST OF SCHOOLS
Yale
Princeton
Harvard
Dartmouth
UPenn (Wharton)
UChicago
Georgetown
Duke
Amherst
Williams
Haverford
UT Austin (Business Honors at McCombs)

Thanks so much again!

Bumparoo!!

if you want my honest opinion i think every college you listed is a reach besides UT but not honors. you need some matches, safeties if you ask me.

Might want to look at Holy Cross-Top30 LAC-near Boston.

3.38 is an A-/A at your school?

I'm not sure... Unweighted GPA confuses me. My transcript gives me a weighted GPA of 4.1839 out of 4.8. (Was changed since posting because of transcript screwup) and a numerical score of approx 93.8. In unweighted classes, a 100 = 4.0, 99=3.9, 98=3.8. In weighted classes, it's 100 = 5.0, 99 = 4.9, 98 = 4.8. etc.

EDIT: I used the Princeton Review scale which gives me about a 3.8. That kind of makes me feel better after browsing their book. :/

To the first poster: Even if I don't get into the Honors program, I'm still guaranteed a spot at UT (Probably College of Liberal Arts), so it's still a safety for me. As I said, I'm perfectly content with UT so I don't want any other safeties.

Thanks for posts guys. :)
