Chance/advice the following schools please!

So this is basically my final list that I will be working with, barring any changes...I would love to get some input from the experienced members on here...

I'll be applying as a Junior Transfer, with over 65 semester credits. I'm at a JC here in California..

My current GPA is a 3.82 with a 4.0 major GPA (Accounting)

Here's a list of schools I'm applying to, from my first choice on down:

1) Villanova
2) William & Mary
3) Holy Cross
4) Richmond
5) North Carolina
6) Wisconsin
7) Georgia Tech
8) USC

Safeties:
9) UCSD
10) UCSB

I have another list of backup schools that I'm torn on whether to apply or not, but the above mentioned are the definite ones, so any help would be greatly appreciated!!

EDIT: I failed to mention that I'm getting all A's so far this semester with 4 weeks to go, so I'm hoping to pull off all A's, I should get my GPA up to a 3.9 in that case...

I think that you would be a strong candidate at all of those schools. It is a good mix of reach and target.

However, 10 schools is a long list ;)

Thanks NEU2NU, I know 10 school is huge!! I don’t know which to delete, although I might not apply to USC, same with Richmond, but not sure yet, ahhhh, so many schools, so little money :)

I think you have a pretty good chance at all schools. To eliminate some schools considering you have to have to pay an application fee for all of them, why not consider choice of location, tuition, campus life, etc.

Wisconsin is VERY methodic about transferring, so communicate with them about what they expect from transfers.

Its not on your list, but Marquette (also in Wisconsin) has a really good accounting program, and you’d definitely be able to get in with your stats.

I second skyscraper’s Marquette suggestion.

It is definitely worth a look!

@skyscraper13, what do you mean very methodic? do you mean the prerequisite classes and/or transfer credits?

I will definitely look at Marquette, I actually had it on my list before but took it off, but I’ll revisit it again for sure!

The prerequisite classes have been the source of headaches for friends of mine who have transfered to Madison, but they’ve been from CC’s and Universities within the UW system so It might be different than transferring from out of state.
