Hi, I am Tian .
This is my first time posting on this forum.
I am G11 now, I am a asian Male in Canada. I am in Burnaby North(quite a famous school, 20 students going into low ivies each year) in Canada. I just aim for some low ivies like brown, penn, and cornnel

Is there any chance? Any?
Tell me what i can improve. I can hopefully get some more advanced math awards.
Its really a long post. Thanks for reading the whole of it.

I will chance back
thank you

i know my profile is very weak please give some comments the omniscience college confidential forum ! thanks

Also
I only come to canada in 3 years

All 5 in the 4 now-finished ap courses
pretty sure i will get all 5 in other 8 ap courses

You have a decent chance, especially for schools that want to expand in diversity, but note that international applications are more difficult.
You are good all-around, but what math awards have you gotten?

chance mine

Thank you so much
i am discouraged by many perfect sat score ppl in vancouver

shameless self bump
What field can i improve
EC, SAT …
please point out

Based on ur stats, i’d say you have a pretty decent chance wherever you apply. im not sure about Penn thou, because i know people in the past years that applied from my school to Penn that were in top three percent with good sat and ec’s that didn’t get in. im not exactly sure why though…

some suggestions of some less-demanding schools with decent financial aid for internationals. thx

Thx for your reply cineuless
but i know very little about international

Self bump
some more help

“some less-demanding schools with decent financial aid for internationals”

That’s an oxymoron, my friend.

If you need FA, you’re sunk at a very, very large majority of American colleges.

In terms of pure stats, you have good chances at top 15-25 American schools, but not if you need FA.

out of curiosity, how did you manage to get 800 on 3 SAT II’s at the beginning of gr11 year?

I consider myself familiar with schools in the GV region, and I’m pretty, pretty damn sure perfect SAT score is rare.

You can get in at least one of the ivies with those EC’s and stats. gl.
