SAT breakdown:
Overall 2310

That's my superscore. My highest individual score is 2260 with the same scores in CR and W but 680 M.

My GPA is 3.4 UW/3.7W. My school doesn't offer AP's to freshman and only 1 to sophomores. I took the single AP offered in soph year and then 2 out of the 3 offered Junior year. I'll be taking 3 more AP's senior year. Nearly all my classes which haven't been AP have been Honors.

-EC's-

Thanks in advance for the chancing!

I would say you have a great chance at getting in, although I may be biased/jealous of the perfect CR score =P
Your GPA seems kind of low given your SATs, which may be your only concern. Do all honors classes receive +1 on GPA at your school?

An honors class gives you a boost of .5, so an A in an honors class counts as 4.5 towards your GPA whereas an A in a regular class counts as a 4.0. That holds true all the way down the grading scale.

And thanks, the SAT score is the only academic thing I’m proud of on my application XD

your GPA is a little low, but I think you will have a shot

I’ll second soccerguy, but might be slightly less optimistic. That GPA worries me, unless your rank is pretty high; do you know what your rank is?

We don’t rank, I’d have to guess top 30% though.

As a comparative measure, most VA schools give +1 for an honors class. But I guess a 3.4 unweighted isn’t terrific either, thinking about it now.

Well I’ll apply and see what happens. I’d say it’s a high match.

Get the grades up and you have a good shot.

I know it’s not much, but if my first semester Senior year grades are straight A’s, will I have a better shot? Or will adcoms not factor that into their decision.

they will take into account your senior year grades.

If you were in the top 10% of your class, you’d be in for sure. You still have a great chance, though. Be sure to get great grades first semester of senior year… If you do manage to pull straight A’s senior year in the toughest courses, you’ll get in for sure.
