Chance an incredibly anxious ED Northwestern hopeful?

I've been spending my time looking over this website hoping for reassurance that my credentials will get me accepted into Northwestern Early Decision, but looking at the other outstanding posters on this forum has made me incredibly nervous. I loved the school and everything about it, so maybe you can help me calm my nerves?

16/325 Rank

-Advanced Repertory Theater Producer (A comedy group for seniors. Requires audition and 3 years of classes beforehand. Small group, producer gets the dozens of shows ready to be performed, as well as perform.)

-Kansas Honor Scholar

I'm very hopeful to get in, as I loved everything about it when I visited. Hopefully this will calm my nerves... if your replies are positive.

I can relate to you in many ways. What was your eagle project? Maybe that could add to your application.

Based on this though, I’d say reach. But you never know.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/804594-chance-me-jhu-mit-ed-ea.html

My eagle project was a nice patio area complete with benches and garden in a formerly barren area next to my school. In hindsight, with my application already submitted, I probably should have sent pictures or mentioned it in some way, yet I did not.

It’s not too much of a reach, but a lot will depend on your essay. Maybe take your SATs again?

I felt my essay was pretty good by my standards, and I was told my NU statement was great. My recommendations are also specific for what I plan to study (Radio/T.V./Film with a focus on Screenwriting), and I can trust were very strong.

Bump! Bump bumpity.

I completely understand, and am, in fact, in the same exact boat (Northwestern ED with mediocre scores). You should definitely look at the positives of your app.
1- you’re from kansas
2- with ED you can get away with a 31, which is within the 25%-75% range (29-33)
3- Essays help ALOT
4- You’re in top 5%. NU’s heavy on rigor and rank
5-ECs and leadership, not to mention the fact that you’re an athlete (NU loves!)

I know theater in the Comm school is hard to get into, but I’m not so sure about R/T/F… but think positively! you definetely have a shot

Thanks for the positive reinforcement Glenny! What was your major of choice? Hope we’re both accepted!

Econ in WCAS. Which school have you applied to?

Ignore my previous question. Momentary lapse in active thinking…
