@chancemeind What is your class rank? Or do you not have one? I will say though, that the National Merit Scholarship ranking will do you very well, it may get you admission into several places.

ur good bro don’t worry lol

Your SAT score isn’t low (perfect math and physics scores, science/engineering student?), especially for UC Berkeley. The Ivy League may have average scores in the 1530+ range but it’s not much of a difference. You seem to have a good chance for everything, keep in mind that all Ivy League all almost never a guarantee.

Stats are only the keys into the Ivy League, unless you have some especially notable EC; even then it’ll isn’t guaranteed. In fact at that stratified tier of schools, your numbers are run of the mill/typical. In a lot of these threads there seems to be some thought that the stats are the all important factor, but in fact the essays and recommendations are for many schools, and Ivy in particular, a MUCH more weighted component of your application.

As for your original question, with the numbers you posted, do you stand a chance, yes ofd course you do. The thing to get across is your passion and commitment, as well as how you took the initiative to pursue your passion. Much of that seems evident enough in your accomplishments. Your concern over your SAT scores are minor at best, and are in the acceptable range for those schools. They won’t kill your chances at all, but your essays could. Get those to communicate WHO you are and what drives you. It’s the only tool in your app, besides your recommendations that sets you apart for the thousands of other High SAT/Testers that are applying too.

I don’t think I’ve ever said this, but you are a shoo-in for these schools. They would be extremely lucky to have you. You are probably the best app developer they will ever see. Just make sure to focus on your essays, and you should be good to go! The only thing that might hurt your chances is that you are an international applicant. Good luck!
