Considering every part of the application other than SAT scores is excellent, what are my chances at UCB, Harvard, Cornell, Yale, and MOST IMPORTANTLY UPENN and HARVARD. Please be a little bit detailed! Thank you! :D

@mnm111 I think you’re just bitter because he started this new thread after your:

Anyway, yes, @KrishSC, you do have low SAT scores, even if you have perfect SAT II scores. Your normal SAT score is just too low to be competitive, and considering the acceptance rates at those schools you suggested, you’re a reach. However, you can make yourself competitive by writing exceptional essays and making yourself stand out.

Hey I am also from India, just our international status puts us at a severe disadvantage, DO NOT get your hopes up for any university no matter how well you prepared the application. I saw it with my sister, even though she got into Berkeley finally but, between the time the ivies result came out and the Berkeley result came out it was a pretty sad scene. She was an excellent applicant, so go for it but manage your expectations and maybe consider a safety school in India if not the states.

Thank you all for the inputs! Yes, @redwall1521 I understand that. I think I have decent competitive essays! Guys, just one more question… I have a research project. Will that help?

Some schools specify that they prefer TOEFL. Yes your chances are slim because there are many applicants from India who have everything you have + a stellar SAT/ACT score. Are you applying to any Safeties?

Purdue is pretty much a taken, UT Austin, if you haven’t heard from them by now it means they did not perceive your application as outstanding but don’t worry UT Austin only tells the best of the best that they are in early in the process. What is your major?
