Thank you.
I forgot to mention that I’m thinking of Harvard too, but that may be really tough.
My possible majors are biomedical sciences and biochemistry, or maybe biomedical engineering.

I am not as optimistic primarily due to you being an international requiring financial aid. The international pool is very very tough at those levels - you are competing with international olympiad winners, RSI kids, and all. Also, there are no safeties for an international requiring aid - even though they might admit you, they might not give you enough money to go.

Yale EA - Reach/High reach
Harvard - Reach/High reach
Princeton - Reach/High reach
Columbia - Reach/High Reach

Oberlin - Match/Low Reach

frankchn: Thanks. I know it’s really hard, but I want to give it a go. I’ve seen South African and Chinese students get into those schools with full scholarships. What do you think I should emphasize in my application?

guys i have no idea about ivy colleges and their acceptance chances. so it would be really helpful if u guys can help me out by predicting my chances as well.

I am an international student applying with financial aid ED to Engineering college Cornell. I would not be needing all that much aid about 10-15$ USD per year would be sufficient. I have got a 2090 on my SAT, math-800,writing 730, CR 560. My school gpa is pretty good. And i have given my Math-2 and Phy SAT subjects on Oct. Sure to get Math 780-800 and Phy 750-800. My toefl score is 112 and my ielts is 8.

your awards are pretty impressive, but SAT a bit low for an international student who needs aid

to both of you: julienyu&saigokul: your overall SAT scores look good, although i’d push for a 2300+, but you REALLY need to get those CR scores up. 700+ minimum, im thinking.
both of your ECs and otherwise look fine, but for the ivies, even with a ‘decent’ chance, youre just another well-qualified applicant out of, what, apparently around 30 000 for 2014ers. keep your hopes up though, give it your best shot. =]

CR 700+, that’s what I was aiming for when I wrote my Oct SATs. I’m confident about that. I’m more worried about how to present myself. For example, what sort of activities should I include in a resume?

ahha, i would tell you if i could, but i really dont know too much about the whole thing.
try looking up some threads in the intls’ forum, they should have more stuff.
but from what i’ve read, adminofficers seem to want more depth, less breadth, to show your dedication and all? which makes sense, butyeah, better do some more research on that… GL with your SAT scores btw~
