Ok i would say that stats wise you are good for pretty much any school. So stats wont keep you back. That being said, the schools you are applying to (at least the top 5) are pretty tough ones (but awesome schools!). I would say in your top five youll probably be accepted to 3 or 4. I think if you write great essays you can get into all of the schools you listed. If stanford is your number one choice then let them know it, and i think youve got a great shot!

You have a decent chance. Stanford legacy will help.

You have something that I wish I had. Your EC’s are from young and you’ve stuck with them for forever. Well I still enjoyed my ec’s. Also you have a legacy to a good school, unlike me haha. I think you have good chances at getting in

Thanks Nike. Appreciate it. Oh and roneald I’m leaning towards scea now:

Stanford-low reach due to legacy, but don’t count on it.
Berkeley-looks good
Pomona-not familiar with this school.
Brown-reach
Columbia-reach (and plus their entire athletic facility is underground. Depressing.)
NYU-low reach
UCLA-in
UCSD-in
UCD-in

Overall, your stats are good. It’d be nice to see some more heft in the SAT category, and of course pack in those AP’s (at our school, Junior Year is notorious for the 8-9 AP test pack in.)
Word of advice: study early.

that sucks, sorry. yea at my school, 4 AP Junior and Senior year is about as much as you can take due to scheduling. I would have taken APUSH Junior year as well, but I would have had to drop AP BIO, so thats why I only had 3 Junior year. i plan on having taken 7 or 8 plus some college courses by the end of high school

Good call. Colleges understand that, though I kinda feel it’s unfair for the rest of us D:
For your post on my thread, I think you apply to Brown, and if you’re accepted, you can apply to the PLME (though the decisions of both committees are given to you at the same time). That being said, if I get into brown but not PLME I would have reservations about Brown (call me crazy).

bump( off of front page)

Off the front page again. ALso, i am going to axe NYU off my list and will apply to Harvard more for kicks, as I know I dont have a great shot there. thanks for any feedback

heh heh, harvard? anyone?

Stanford:high match/low reach. Not sure how much of an impact legacies have…so…
Berkeley:high match
Pomona:? low reach?
Brown:reach
Columbia:reach

UCD:?

good luck! try to raise the SAT scores :)

Excellent grades, decent SAT (could be higher), decent SAT II (could be higher), excellent ACT, excellent ECs, rigorous course load
Stanford- low-mid reach, because of legacy
Berkeley- match
Pomona- low-mid reach
Brown- low-mid reach
