-GPA: 3.63
All 5 business indicator courses already completed, will have 2 year Business Administration degree in May.

-4 year US Navy Veteran and fighter in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Graduated 2nd from military intelligence school. Numerous medals, awards, and achievements.

-Current SGA Officer (last year too); Phi Theta Kappa; many, many more.

-Letter of recommendation: One from a military officer and the other a professor with multiple degrees from UT.

I know the GPA is low.

Also, when should acceptance/denied letters go out if the deadline is March 1st?

i am in the same boat as you, except i don't have a business administration degree yet, i didn't serve in the military and i have all A's in all 5 of the business indicator classes.

but it's really hard to gauge your chances. even i don't know if i will get in or not.

I'd say you have a low chance. If you got a C in Calc 1 then it won't transfer, only work with C+ transfers. A 3.4 on the business classes doesn't sound great, if you got a 3.7 I would say you're in.

Edit: Oops a grade of C is accepted, my mistake. But a 3.4 still sounds low.

Considering the liberalness (if thats a word) of UT, I would say your service to the country won't be looked at as heavily as say, A&M. You obviously have leadership skills to succeed in business but, as the others say the grades are hurting your chances. Its actually sad that there is virtually no space for transfer for business, maybe like 75 spots. Its not too late to apply to A&M (deadline is March 15th), I know you'll have a better shot there.

I wish I could swallow my pride, apply to A&M, and accept the fact that it's a good school and I'll be just fine with a Business degree from there. But, I'd have to live with the fact of being an aggie for the rest of my life.
