please, anyone familiar with the UC system?

Assuming you get around 2000 on SAT score on retake. UCI-Match. UCSD match/slight reach(out of state). UCLA-Reach (out of state)

thank you!

If I were a Cali resident, would UCLA still be a slight reach?

Do you really want to spend $40K to go to UCI? There's almost no aid for OOS.

there is too much a gap between weiguc gpa and unwei gpa...i think you calculated it wrong =(

I agree in regards to your unweighted vs uc gpa. the gap is to large.

If your UC GPA is around a 4.0 and your SAT in the mid 1900's out of state:

UCLA: Reach (oos)
UCSD: Slight Reach-Reach (oos)
UCI: Match

For instate admits, UCSD and UCLA's average UC GPA's are both well above 4.0 and their average admit SAT's for instates are approx 1950 and 2050 respectively. You will likely need better numbers than these to get in since you are out of state.

stressed0ut:

UCLA: Reach (out of state)
UCSD: Slight Reach (out of state)
UCI: Match (out of state)
