Chance at BC, JHU, Georgetown

<p>Rising Junior who is nervous by college application process. Please Help</p>

<p>Stats:</p>

<p>GPA: 3.9 unweighted right now, will probably rise to about 4.2 or 4.3 weighted by end of senior year.</p>

<p>SATs: Have taken them, 2000-2100 range, no SAT II's yet</p>

<p>Classes: 4 honors Freshman and Sophmore Year with 1 AP this year, Will be taking all IB classes junior year and senior year.</p>

<p>EC's: Have taught at a Religous School for 3 years, will work for 2 more years; Heavily involved in theater at my school: acted, lighting and sound design, SM, Directed shows, CAPPIES program (High school theater awards), had reviews picked for publication in local papers, nominated for award, Will be Lead Critic at my school, Tennis, Swim, and Dive Team as well as for local teams (not school though I don't have the time), taking summer classes at Ivy, volunteering at a hospital for 4 years, other volunteer work (helped build house for poor in community), internship at JHU laboratory over the summer, maybe more stuff in next couple of years. </p>

<p>By the way: I don't know if this will help but I have legacy at BC (I am related to a former prof. and head of a department) and have relatives who work at JHU (graduate school though)</p>

<p>you’re in for BC and JHU, Georgetown maybe but still a reach. good stats + legacy but take the SAT2s.</p>

<p>what is your class rank? If top 10% you have a good chance at all choices - about 40%</p>

<p>Right now I am in the top 7%, however I also expect that to go up as I am taking only IB classes Junior and Senior year (which gives me a quality point for my GPA).</p>

<p>Can anyone also chance me for NYU, Duke, Mcgill, UVA, William and Mary, and Washington U in St. Louis (I know a lot of these are unrealistic but whatever).</p>

<p>Also, I got my SAT’s without any study at all, is it realistic for my scores to go up or are they set in stone.</p>

<p>And would a review/story/photo published by a major newspaper add a lot to my EC list</p>
