<p>Hello, I am a junior at a public school in Iowa. I am wondering what I need to work on the most to get in. I plan on applying early decision as two of my relatives went there and loved it. Also any suggestions as to other schools I should look at as safeties? I really like WashU but have tunnel vision as to other schools. </p>

<p>ACT: 29 (I plan on taking an improvement class and at least two more times, already have 32 in Reading and 30 for English)
GPA W: 4.3
GPA UW: 3.97
Ethnicity: White Male</p>

<p>AP: Human Geography-5, AP European-3, Planning to take tests for Psychology, English Literature and Composition this spring. </p>

<p>Class Rank: 20/310 UW and 4/310 W</p>

<p>EC's : Youth Group volunteer work, Captain of Quiz Bowl Team, Knowledge Bowl Captain, Track, Cross Country, Mock Trial (placed 8th and was 2-time Outstanding Attorney), DECA (1st in State), Student Senate (treasurer but will be President next year), DARE role model (talk to kids at elementary school), National Council on Youth Leadership, NHS (hopefully), Character Award, Judge/Coach Middle School Mock Trial</p>

<p>I visited over Thanksgiving Break and only took a tour, plan an interview in the Spring or Summer. </p>

<p>You’ll obviously have a rough time getting into WUSTL, since everybody who doesn’t have a 34+ has a rough time…</p>

<p>As for safeties, that all depends on what major you want to go into…</p>
